Sunil Menon is a business development leader enabling US Healthcare customers engage their patients during the entire episode of care with Amazon Connect. He is obsessed with equipping US Healthcare customers to serve their patients better, reducing the cost-to-serve and providing automated solutions powered by Generative and regular Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies so that caregivers can improve productivity and redeploy resources to focus on high priority missions and practice at the top of their license. Prior to this role, Sunil led Amazon Connect business development for international public sector, spanning local through national government agencies, healthcare, education and other regulated industries.

Prior to working for AWS, Sunil worked as a Global Product Leader for a Fortune-500 Medical Device company, Zimmer Biomet (later spun off as ZimVie) launching products such as implants, surgical equipment, biomaterials and medical device software. Sunil launched the company’s first ever FDA/MDR approved software-as-a-medical device (SaMD) globally. The software was used for disease diagnosis, surgical planning, and prosthesis design and manufacturing. Sunil previously worked for FedEx Corporation for 19 years in a variety of roles in transportation network design, analytics, customer experience, small business marketing, international expansion and corporate strategy. He also worked for a petrochemical company for two years where he navigated flow issues. He has done extensive valuation analysis and complex financial modeling for Mergers & Acquisitions, Operations improvement etc.

Sunil has a diploma and degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai (gold medalist). His curiosity and passion for knowledge also led him to get an MBA from Texas A&M University and an executive MBA in Health Sector Policy and Management from the University of Miami (valedictorian).

 

Juli Hysenbelli serves as the Global Lead for Connected Care at AWS Healthcare and Lifesciences, collaborating with government entities and ministries of health, hospital systems, med tech worldwide to enhance access and equity in healthcare through technology. With a background in ML/AI, Generative AI, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), 5G, and cloud contact center technology Juli has led multiple implementations for chronic condition management and access to care. This includes integrating 5G, connected devices, and augmented reality into operating rooms, with a specific focus on enhancing heart valve implantation interventions. Prior to this Juli led a pioneering team that achieved the historic milestone of conducting the first remote surgery on 5G in Italy.

Beyond her operational responsibilities, Juli is an author and a dedicated advocate for connected care and women in STEM. Actively sharing her experiences at industry events, she has contributed to scientific papers and books on remote and connected care.

As an AWS GetIT program Ambassador, Juli has inspired and trained over 500 students to explore futures in STEM by teaching foundational cloud tech skills and guiding them in designing app ideas to solve community problems. She also facilitates opportunities to connect students with tech role models in their classrooms.

Sofia Fatalevich, MBA, PMP, leads the global Digital Health program at AWS, helping healthcare providers leverage cloud technology to enhance patient communication and digital engagement. She brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare technology and operations, specializing in digital patient engagement, virtual care, and enterprise software solutions. Prior to AWS, Sofia held leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she led teams in designing and implementing clinical web solutions and managing diverse technology portfolios, patient engagement solutions and virtual care platforms. Sofia holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Dearborn.

Indy is a strategic advisor and enterprise technologist with 28+ years of experience in emerging technologies. He specializes in AI/ML and generative AI adoption for large enterprise customers, working with them to develop technology adoption strategies that align with business objectives. As the author of the "Accelerating Gen AI Adoption" newsletter, Indy collaborates with cross-functional AWS teams to promote Responsible AI, adoption acceleration, implementation, and change management best practices. A sought-after speaker on generative AI, Indy offers strategic insights and real-world examples to empower leaders in harnessing AI's transformative potential across various business domains.
